Microsoft Edge's Collections feature is now enabled by default in Canary and Dev rings

The Collections feature for Microsoft Edge is at present enabled past default for anyone testing out Microsoft Edge Canary and Dev channels. The characteristic is enabled by default on build 80.0.338.0 or later. To gain access to the feature previously, people had to use a feature flag. In addition to enabling Collections by default, the Microsoft Border team added several new features to the feature.

Collections allows you lot to catch websites, images, and other content from around the web and organize them into collections. Y'all can rearrange items in these collections, add notes, and highlight specific content, so it's easier to find later. The Microsoft Edge squad gives a few examples of how to use Collections in a new blog post, including organizing travel information and planning lessons for a educatee.

Collections has been available to testers for months, but people had to enable a flag to gain access to it until recently. Now, the feature is enabled by default and has new features and enhancements. People can now sync Collections across devices, open all links in a collection in a new window, edit carte du jour titles, and share a collection. The feature also gained a dark style in its recent update.
